• She possesses several heightened senses such as smell, hearing, sight. Even taste, touch, speed and strength. She also can regenerate lost limbs and heal herself almost instantly. Healing only takes a longer period of time if it is silver.

• Shadow Capture- Allows the user to capture their opponent's shadow, rendering them virtually immobile.

• Shadow Strangle- Allows the user to strangle their opponent to death with their own shadow.

• Shadow Extinguish- Allows the user to stab their opponent with spears made out of the opponent's own shadow.

• Psychokinesis- The mental movement or motion of solid matter. The user can move thing with their mind, no matter the size and weight, and distort things (i.e. bending metal or steel).

• Ranmaru (蘭丸 or Orchid Circle)- Gives the user the ability to see through walls, cast illusions, and interfere with any other vampiric ability should they so choose. This ability also allows the user to see the physical life force inside a human's body to check their status being alive or dead. Being able to see a person's life force allows the user predict a series of attacks that an opponent uses against them, the ability to transfer life force to bring someone, mostly dead, back to life.

• Cero (虚閃 (セロ)- Spanish for "Zero", Japanese for "Empty Disaster" is a standard energy blast, it consists of firing a powerful blast of concentrated energy at the target. While in most cases it is fired from the mouth, some users are capable of firing Cero from their hands, fingers and other parts of their bodies, very few can fire it without a pose or little to no movement.

• La Mirada- Japanese and Spanish for The Gaze, this allows the user to fire a powerful energy blast out of their eye or eyes at will. Though it takes time to charge, the blast itself is powerful enough to incinerate an opponent and destroy a large area of land in the process. This is usually a finishing move.

• Cero Metralleta (無限装弾虚閃 (セロ・メトラジェッタ)- Spanish for "Sub-Machine Gun Zero", Japanese for "Infinite Ammunition Empty Disaster" is a variation of the Cero technique. When the user holds a gun, they can charges multiple Cero around its barrel simultaneously, before firing a barrage of them at their opponent. The Cero continue to fire from these points repeatedly. And even while firing, the user can adjust their aim to redirect the attack. However, this technique has been further developed by Katarina and she is the only being who can fire the attack by simply making a gun with her index finger and thumb (like a child would do while playing a game).

Attitude/Personality: She seems fragile and sweet on the outside, but mentally, Katarina is a sly, calculating manipulator who loves to pit people against one another. She's seemingly in capable of even the simplest of emotions, but deep down she is actually a good person.

Though her actions are cruel, she is working towards her goals of protecting those who have managed to work their way under her icy skin and into her cold, heart.

Background
History: Born in Bulgaria in 1800, Katarina Perlest was born to a very wealthy and noble family. She grew up with servants and maids running to her every beck and call, however, her nobility ended when she got pregnant at the age of 18.

As soon as the child was born, it was removed from her grasp and taken away and killed. Her family, shamed by their daughter, tossed her out on the streets and she had to travel to Germany in 1819 in order to survive. This journey is what would bring her to her final stand as a human.

In Germany, she became smitten with a nobleman who was simply known as Klaus. Little did she know, she was flirting with her own death...

When she learned of what Klaus was, she ran. Through the woods, tripping and falling over herself more times than she could even count. Her final trip brought her down, landing hard on a fallen branch and causing her to break her ankle. Terrified, alone, and now lame, she wept in the forest as he howls of Klaus' werewolves sniffed her out and tracked her down.

When she was found, she pleaded for her life as she wept there on the cold, unforgiving ground where she had fallen. Klaus, a man of very little pity, saw the usefulness in Katarina and offered her a deal. Scared, and afraid for her life, she took the offer and drank his blood after him having drank hers. Taking her last breath as a human, she cursed him with everything she had, and as one final tear fell, she swore her revenge.

Now, after having survived the vampire hunts of the 19th century, Katarina is in Japan and still running from Klaus who is hell bent on taking her back and making her his slave.
