Distinguishing Marks: The first of his tattoos is located on his neck, and part of the grenade is usually exposed from under his kimono. This tattoo symbolizes Muhyōjō's desire to once again hold his emotions in his hand or to be able to have them.

However, as a reaper, it symbolizes his ability to hold someone's heart in his hand. Even in his impassive state, Muhyōjō is an expert at attracting someone to him. He is, in a sense, a player and knows how to make someone eat out of the palm of his hand. Therefore, he was forever branded as the "Heart holder" of the reapers.

The second tattoo of his is located in a less seen place, his right side. This tattoo is a tattoo of two skulls side by side. One skull having X's in its eyes and the other having hearts in its eyes. This tattoo is the symbol of dead and thriving love and lust.

This tattoo marks Muhyōjō as the reaper of lovers. He reaps the soul of lovers who commit sins together in pairs.

Traits
Skills:
  • He possesses several heightened senses such as smell, hearing, sight. Even taste, touch, speed and strength. He also can regenerate lost limbs and heal himself. However, silver does not affect him because he is a Reaper.

  • Reaper Magic- This is a special set of magical skills learned by only those who are the class of "Reaper" or "Shinigami (Death Gods)". This magic includes an array of offensive and defensive attacks and also allows a reaper to summon the gates of hell or heaven and use their scythe. Each Reaper has their own realm of magic, but Reapers can also be granted entrance to another Reaper's realm of magic by said Reaper.

  • Scythe Summon- This is a special type of Reaper Magic that allows a reaper to call forth their scythe, or reaping weapon. It also allows them to send it back to their own realm of magic.

  • Scythe- Muhyōjō is a special type of reaper in the sense that he is a dual wielder. In other words, he uses two scythes instead of one scythe. This aspect makes him much more efficient in his work, but also makes him much more deadly.

One scythe uses fire, while the other seems to be earth based. The earth based scythe is called "Hammering Desire" while the fire based one is called "Boiling Gory" a play on "Morning Glory".

  • Worm Eater (ワームイーター)- A special form of substance that seems to make other reaper magic vanish. So if an attack or reaper magic was flying towards him, all of it would vanish before it even reached any part of Muhyōjō's body. Worm eater also negates energy attacks, turning the energy into nothing as it gets close to his necklace.

Attitude/Personality: Muhyōjō is unique in the sense that he lacks what many consider to be a "personality". He suffers from Impassivity or Emotionlessness. He feels only in cases of an extreme situation.

Talents: He can draw and paint, and can also write.

Background
History: Born to a religious family in what many consider one of Japan's more primitive times, Muhyōjō was elected to be head monk. He originated from a long line of Buddhist monks. However, he refused his role and was forced out of his family. He was soon followed by his younger brother. Together, they found a new path....but little did they know, this path would lead them to a fate of both divided attention and bonded ties as brothers.

As young reapers, Yojo and Mujo were both playing, or simply goofing off around the fountain of youth, a fountain in which they were originally intended to guard to keep humans from finding and taking advantage of. However, as the two grew more aggressive in their 'play' Mujo pushed Yojo too hard and made him fall into the fountain. The fountain, mistaking Yojo's desire to not feel pain as a desire to not feel anything at all, took away his ability to feel emotions and replaced it with a never aging body.

Mujo, unable to bear the weight of what he had caused his older brother to lose, parted ways with him only a week after the accident. For years, Mujo has been avoiding most contact with his brother, unable to bear the pain of seeing his brother's flat, expressionless face. He blamed himself, while Yojo blames his own carelessness.

Deprived of the connection to his brother, Yojo has clung to the memory of Mujo and how much fun they used to have together. But the part of him that can feel emotions feels the great pain of not being able to see his little brother. He will forever wish that his brother could stop blaming himself.
